In dry weather, a few leaves in your gutter won?t be a huge problem, however, if it rains, they can become heavy and prevent excess rain from draining properly. This can lead to overflowing and even cause structural damage to your property such as: walls, soffits, fascia, siding, basement,?and even your foundation. If your property suffers water damage due to lack of gutter maintenance, your insurance company may hold you at fault, so if you fail to maintain your gutters the consequences may be detrimental.
